MyMedVita Marketplace is an easily accessible app and website. It is designed to show insurer-paid healthcare prices for the most common healthcare services for hundreds of thousands of healthcare providers nationwide.
All United States health insurers are now required by federal regulation to list their healthcare price data by provider and by healthcare service, on a monthly basis.
MyMedVita Marketplace now offers pricing for the 70 most common medical procedures, with plans to expand to all 6,000 procedures based on consumer demand and your suggestions.
The prices listed are the total dollars healthcare providers have agreed to be paid by different health insurers for each service.
Healthcare providers in the same region often have prices that vary widely for the same procedure.
MyMedVita Marketplace gives you, the consumer, this price data to help you find a healthcare provider that is right for you.
The healthcare services are represented through CPT-4 Codes, which is the Current Procedural Terminology (Version 4) developed and maintained by the American Medical Association.
MyMedVita Marketplace informs patients of healthcare prices received by a healthcare provider by a combination of the insurer’s payment and the patient’s out of pocket payment. The information MyMedVita presents is what an insurer provides publicly and is not a guarantee of payment or benefits. The procedures and providers listed by MyMedVita do not represent all healthcare services or providers. A patient’s true cost may depend on their exact health plan which MyMedVita does not have access to. Consumers are advised to request specific quotes of costs from healthcare providers for any healthcare services they might receive.
You can search by your insurance, other insurance, or all insurances to learn what a provider has negotiated for a price.
It could be possible to negotiate a price with a provider of your choosing regardless of what kind of insurance you might have or even if you don't have insurance. MyMedVita allows you to see prices that providers will be reimbursed for and the provider might be willing to service you at that rate.
Our mission is to provide healthcare consumers and providers with price transparency and service empowerment.
MyMedVita aspires to be the most trusted and independent healthcare marketplace where millions of consumers depend on its transparent information to empower their healthcare decisions.
Please reach us at support@mymedvita.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
MyMedVita Marketplace is a system that allows you to input a healthcare procedure (CPT-4 code), zip code/city, and, optionally, healthcare insurer(s). It provides a list of providers in the specified search area who offer the specific procedure, along with their price, location, and phone number.
Our aim is to give people easy access to information that allows them to compare and choose healthcare providers that best meet their needs.
A CPT-4 code (Current Procedural Terminology, Version 4 code) is a standardized code used by healthcare providers to describe medical, surgical, and diagnostic procedures and services.
These codes are developed and maintained by the American Medical Association (AMA) and are widely used in the healthcare industry for billing, insurance claims, maintaining medical records and research. Each individual healthcare service or procedure has a corresponding CPT-4 code. For example, a CPT-4 code might represent something as common as a routine office visit or as complex as a surgical procedure.
No, you do not need to have health insurance to use MyMedVita Marketplace.
Regardless of whether you have insurance or have met your yearly deductible, you can search by your insurance, other insurance(s), or all insurances to learn what a provider has negotiated for a price for a specific procedure with the insurance company. Some providers may have chosen to list their cash prices for a procedure as well.
